Dr Fiona Kinnear, PhD

Scientific Affairs Manager Nutricia

Fiona is a registered dietitian and Scientific Affairs Manager at Nutricia, with previous experience across academic, clinical and industry settings. Fiona’s role involves conducting high quality research projects to contribute to the field of paediatric nutrition, and to collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and address evidence gaps and clinical practice needs.

Having qualified in dietetics at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2015, Fiona’s career started in the medical nutrition industry. During this time Fiona completed her Dietetics MSc which was in the area of paediatric nutrition. Having identified her interest in research, Fiona went on to undertake a PhD in the field of paediatric nutrition at The University of Bristol before taking up her current role at Nutricia in 2020.

Dr. Abbie Cawood

Medical Affairs, Nutricia and Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton, UK

Dr Cawood (PhD, RNutr, MICR) has been working in clinical nutrition research for nearly 25 years at the University of Southampton and as part of her medical role at Nutricia in the UK.

Dr Cawood is a registered nutritionist and has presented at several key national and international conferences with over 30 publications in the field of clinical nutrition across adults and paediatrics. With a passion to develop the evidence base for clinical nutrition, she continues to work on a number of projects including systematic reviews, service evaluations and randomised controlled trials across a variety of patient groups.

Lauren Mothershaw

Medical Science Liaison for Paediatric Allergy at Nutricia

Lauren is the Medical Science Liaison for Paediatric Allergy at Nutricia, with 10 years of experience as a registered Dietitian. Lauren’s role is to provide scientific advice and research review within the paediatric allergy team at Nutricia, and to develop evidence-based materials to support the HCPs that Nutricia work with.

Having qualified in dietetics at King’s College London in 2010 Lauren’s career started in the NHS where she also had first-hand experience of working with infants with cow’s milk allergy. Lauren’s interest in the gut microbiota has been a bastion of both her clinical and industry roles.
